Who we are

We met while pursuing degrees in hospitality.  It’s who we are and what we do.  We love the intimacy and personality of a bed & breakfast, because our passion is making each guest’s stay special and memorable.

We have 12 years collective experience including:

  • Front Desk and Concierge
  • Event Planning and Coordination
  • Hotel Finance
  • Cost and Inventory Control
  • Sales and Marketing
  • A Masters and a Bachelors in Hotel and Restaurant Management from the University of Houston (Go Coogs!)
  • A Bachelor of Accountancy from the University of Mississippi (Hotty Toddy!)

We take great pride in our hosting abilities and our knack for customizing stays, amenities, and itineraries to each guest's needs.  When we're not working, we travel as much as we can and get a local's perspective of every place we visit.  We also love cooking, gardening, hiking and cycling!

We are professional interim innkeepers with backgrounds in luxury hotel operations.  We will show your guests the same enthusiasm and graciousness as guests in our own home, while respecting your traditions and your inn’s unique character.  With our training and experience on the front lines of the hospitality industry, you can rest assured that your inn is in good hands while you are away.  We can also provide your business with innovative ideas for adding value to your guest experience and improving your marketing effectiveness.

  • Interim Inn Operations (short- or long-term assignments)

    - Updating photography of your product
    - Enhancing your social media and web presence
    - Assessing and recommending improvements to guest experience
    - Creating/updating Concierge materials for your local area
    - Standardizing forms and templates

Hey, I'm Baker!

A native of Houston, Texas, I love to roam but I always come back.  My passion for travel and service took me to The University of Houston where I got my Bachelors in Hotel & Restaurant Management.  After working at two luxury hotels in New York City (The Peninsula and The Plaza), my need to serve my planet and community led to two years working with local governments and nonprofits to promote and sustainably develop the city of Houston.  I handled marketing, event planning and community outreach for the Mayor’s Office of Sustainability for the City of Houston, as well as the Houston Bike Share program.  But travel and hospitality are always in my blood.  I challenge myself to see as much of this world as I can and put a smile on the face of everyone I meet.

Originally from Mississippi, I exemplify my home state’s legendary Southern Hospitality.  My education (Bachelor of Accountancy and Masters in Hotel and Restaurant Management) has served me well in both back-office and front-of-the-house management positions for some of the world’s finest luxury hotel companies (including Rosewood Hotels, JW Marriott, and Four Seasons), as well as full-service luxury apartment management.  My love for serving people is matched only by my desire to explore our incredible planet and experience the amazing diversity of our collective home.
